Emergency Shelter

True North emergency shelter provides a safe place for victims of domestic and sexual violence fleeing from their abuser. Our statewide hotline is available toll-free and provides referral information, emotional support and safety planning twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty five days a year.

Counseling

Individual counseling is offered to residents of shelter and non-residential clients of the agency. The Person-Centered Approach is used during one-on-one sessions to assist individuals in meeting personal goals, including but not limited to, beginning or continuing the healing process on each individual’s own terms.

Support Groups

Domestic and sexual violence weekly support groups are offered as a space for survivors to share, to provide encouragement and solace, and to connect with other individuals with, perhaps, similar experiences. The groups are facilitated in confidential locations.
